Here is info that others do not want you to know about..

1    Many brands of FVIR gas heaters have an AIR FILTER that must be cleaned quarterly, or your warranty is void!!     Read the fine print before you get into troubles.

Bradford and Rheem do not have this problem.

2.   Do any bargain brands have "class action lawsuits" and issues that they have failed to fix properly with their newer models?

3   Beware of poor warranties! Most claim the TANK    is covered for  6 to 12 years , but  never mention a labor Warranty.    So  YOU pay  for future repairs, or do them yourself.!!!

4      Is it really a   "quality name brand " heater or just a name stuck to  junk ?

5.    Can they honor the warranty ASAP today??   Will you have to wait days--weeks for service?

If it boldly states right on the heater..Do not call the store back about problems...call 1-800 # for help- you were hung out to dry on day 1.

If the 800 line is always busy, how long will it take you to finally get service??

Many have been charged SKY HIGH repair bills.---read these.

6.    Can the "plumbers helper " sent  to your home speak English?   Will this   sub- sub contractor  have a plumbing lisc.   and good insurance?

7.   Will others haul away the old heater for free?

8    Its  code  to put  your heater in a DRAIN PAN  to contain future water damage.

9  If you have high water pressure, consider adding a Thermal Expansion tank and a Pressure Reducing valve. If you are not interested ,    say "no thanks" and sign off on them..    This should all be offered BEFORE  the  sale,   not  afterwards.

10   A    FLOOD can occur , if the relief valve on the heater opens due to high water pressure. If  the  pipe can be run to a drain, we will do it   FOR FREE.

11  Do you have "dip tube troubles", are your faucets clogging up with plastic chips ? We can backflush your lines for free.
