Then pull it up and out all the way. This may take a few tries.\nBut don\u2019t give up. It will fit down there. You can help release some of the\nclog by pouring a small amount of liquid dish soap into the drain. It can help\nto loosen the debris and allow the auger to reach farther. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2779 Place the removed debris into your trash bag, and\ncontinue to repeat step 3 until you can no longer bring anything back up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u277a Pour a homemade drain cleaner down the drain and follow its instructions. To use your own, pour 1 cup baking soda into the drain, followed by 2 cups of boiling water. Then pour another cup of baking soda into the drain followed by 1 cup of white vinegar. Cover the drain, allow it to sit for several minutes, and then rinse with 2 more cups of boiling water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u277b Replace your bathtub stopper.
