Master Plumber Mark....
Which softener on the market today is the best and most reliable?
CLACK

The CLACK is the most "user friendly" valve in the USA. CLACK is the most advanced valve available on the market, and far surpasses the FLECK , CULLIGAN , AUTOTROL , and Kinetico valve.
GE, Whirlpool, and Morton are all basically throw away junk after about 5 years.
Hard Water Pics from Indiana
FEB 10, 11 This 10 year old heater probably cost 3+ times more per year just to heat the water. The average gas heater cost about $295 per year when it is clean inside. \Do you see why a water softener will pay for itself very quickly by keeping your water heating bills low?
This is common city water.
There is no water heater on the market today is truly "self cleaning", nobody wants to tear into the bottom of their heater and scrape out this goop every year, and it cannot be flushed out with a hose..
This lime is one big reason your dishes come out of the dishwasher so cloudy and your clothes look so dull.
You boil this "green goo" in the bottom of the heater and you also bathe in it every day..!!

Look at this ---nasty green goo --- that came pouring out of this leaking water heater ....... about 15 gallons worth.... good grief!
This is your average "jelly sludge" that most people fail to flush from their water heaters...
this one is so blood red that it looks like a crime scene
All bargain brands have very poor quality filter resin made to only last about 5 years in city water. That is why they cost less...
The CLACK mineral resin is heavy-heavy duty and twice the quality that comes in all the low end units.

BUYER BEWARE....
Their are people in town stuck with monthly payments for equipment that they were talked into buying over 10 years ago!!!
BEWARE of "home show" "fly-by-night" "high pressure con men " selling fancy sounding Water Softener equipment for more than $6000!!
We hear this complaint from folks who need repairs to their equipment, or want to move the units to their new home. The store they got the junk from is long gone, but that monthly payment goes on and on.....
Don't get conned into buying any of this "over-priced -- hyped up junk" out at the home shows ...
